Thanks to Plate Magazine and the seven sponsors that hosted the first annual Free & Easy Party during NACUFS. It was a well run, well attended (80 operators) event and a terrific way to bring Foodservice Rewards alive in the college market. The placecard shown provides more detail. Basic American has already agreed to sponsor the Free & Easy party again next year in Boston.

Foodservice Rewards team members Marty, Lisa, Paul, Ron, and Ashleigh were decked out in yellow. We gave away thousands of points and the photo booth was a big hit!

A quick update on the NACUFS and SNA/ANC shows…

Here’s a quick update on the NACUFS and SNA/ANC shows. Sorry so brief, but I am busy playing catch up and getting ready for ACF that starts on Sunday.

SNA Tradeshow:

Thanks to Aaron for helping staff the Spin to Win at Rich’s booth. We had long, continuous, lines for the first 2 days. We had to ship the prize wheel to NACUFS before day 3 at SNA, but Aaron had traffic on day 3 even without the wheel. Rumor has it that the SNA conference had record breaking attendance. The majority of this segment is aware of the program, and we picked up some additional leads for new enrollments.

NACUFS Tradeshow:

Thanks to Ashleigh and Ron for helping staff the Spin to Win at Rich’s, Bunge and Perdue. We were busy at all booths on both days. They were excited to spin to win and shared with us how much they appreciate the program.

We were able to get both K-12 and NACUFS operators to do video testimonials. Lots of very positive feedback from operators. They “LOVE Foodservice Rewards” – see video for proof!!

We heard so many operators mention that FSR paid their way to NACUFS and SNA/ANC that I asked Tyler pull the numbers. This is a HUGE increase over last year when I think we had 2 redemptions in total. I guess the eNews and Story Tool are helping to get the word out :-)

We work hard at Foodservice Rewards, but we also take time to celebrate the fabulous foodservice industry. During the NRA show this year, we enjoyed a delicious meal at Mercat a la planxa. Pictured from left are Jo’el Ellis (French’s), Lisa Snider (Foodservice Rewards), Helia Santos (French’s) and Marty Malley (Foodservice Rewards). It was a glowing example of restaurant foodservice done well! Thank you Chef Garces! And, thank you French’s for your participation in Foodservice Rewards!

NACUFS Regional Show Participation

I had an opportunity at the MW Regional NACUFS Conference to speak with many operators who all had great things to say about FSR…

I attended the Regional NACUFS conference and showcase this week. Nine of our sponsor were there including: Schwan’s, Bunge, Rich’s, Kraft, Nestle, King & Price, Unilever, Advance Pierre and Perdue, all proudly their displaying Foodservice Rewards signage.

I had an opportunity to speak with many operators who all had great things to say about FSR. It was fun to hear about how they are using their points and how much they appreciate the program. Each operator I spoke with was very engaged in the program.

We partnered with Perdue Farms and I helped staff their showcase exhibit and distributed Peel and Reveal bonus points cards.

I also distributed Save the Date cards for the Free & Easy Party at the National Show and operators seemed very interested in attending.

Finally, I will be attending the Continental Conference next week and will be working with Perdue again.

Delaney Vineyards has been selected for the Thursday, July 14^th “Free & Easy Party” during the NACUFS national confere nce that will be an excellent networking dinner for our participating sponsors. Delaney Vineyards is a 10 minute bus-ride from the Gaylord Texan Conference Hotel. We have also partnered with Plate Magazine to further enhance the operator experience. Participating sponsors include Basic American Foods, Bunge, Nestle Professional, Pierce Chicken, Reser’s Fine Foods, Rich’s and Splenda.

“Codee” gets lots of smiles at AHF, NACUFS and SNA

Foodservice Rewards has been working hard to ramp up the exposure at shows like NRA, AHF, NACUFS and SNA to keep operators engaged and create additional excitement and new program enrollments. Codee (the FSR mascot) spent time at sponsor exhibits offering bonus points to Foodservice Rewards members who took their picture with her. This drove significant traffic to the exhibits and resulted in lots of smiles.

News from the NRA Show floor included Mike Sanson, Editor of Restaurant Hospitality Magazine, interviewing Tiger Beaudoin.

The video is being hosted on the Restaurant Hospitality website as well as being emailed out to all Restaurant Hospitality and Food Management enewsletter subscribers.

Great exposure for Foodservice Rewards – a program that delivers for the operator and manufacturer.

Codee, our new tradeshow mascot certainly makes an impression…

“Codee” – our new roving tradeshow mascot has been workin’ sponsors’ tradeshow booths to great effect.

Operators are having their picture taken with the oversized label and earning points for uploading the photo to the Foodservice Rewards social network.

Marty’s also doing a great job of enrolling new program paticipants on the spot.

Bunge’s Mobile Oil Experts will be driving traffic to the NRA live marketing event with the promise of points…

M.O.E. (Mobile Oil Experts), Bunge Oils’ new mobile food truck, will be touring Chicago during NRA. Visit them outside of McCormick Place (corner of Cermak (22nd) and Prairie, one block West of the Hyatt) on May 24th and 25th. The first 25 RSVP’d visitors will earn 250 bonus points!
